Believe

One Thought

When we are young, the image of us playing at the top level is constant. We aspire to be the best, so why not now? We spoke about pressure last week and how to deal with it. This is truly the first step in handling what you have in front of you. Without it, there is no chance of you being as great as you can be.

We are going into the meaningful part of our seasons and every match matters. You have worked so hard to get to the level that you are currently at. We all have made many of mistakes. Loss some matches and missed great opportunities that could have put your team in a different position. There have been countless hours that you have dedicated between car rides, training and matches. Sometimes that hunger that we once had is low and we can lose sight of what we sought out for. Lost some matches that you knew you should've won along the way. Other events are now taking space in our heads. This is where you have to remind yourself of what you have been through to continue on the path of what you originally set out for. The desire to compete against the best. The opportunity to show everyone what you have worked for. Putting your talents on show for not only others, but for yourself. This is now your moment to shine again and it all starts with you believing in yourself.

Coaches will put as much confidence as possible in the squad. Now it is your turn. Bring back that hunger. What do you want to be remembered for?

One Quote

“You dream. You plan. You reach. There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, with belief, with confidence and trust in yourself and those around you, there are no limits.”

- Michael Phelps
